One of the easiest soup you could prepare was Petola Masak Bening / Healthy Luffa Soup. Made with just a few ingredients you had in your pantry.
This soup can be made without oil by boiling until the luffa is tender. For vegetarian, omit dry anchovies and add freshly ground black pepper for extra heat.

Potassium balances the fluid level and helps to relax muscle. Low potassium leads to muscle cramps, spasms and pain.

PETOLA MASAK BENING / HEALTHY LUFFA SOUP
2 luffa peeled and sliced
1 medium onion sliced
2 cloves garlic sliced
1 tablespoon oil
2-3 cups water
2 fresh red chili sliced
1 tablespoon dry anchovies washed and pounded (optional)
salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil, fry onion and garlic until translucent. Add in water and bring to boil. Add in all ingredients, simmer until luffa turns soft. Adjust the salt. Remove from heat.

I've only had luffa once years ago at an friend who was originally from India. I wouldn't even know where to buy it but I am going to look (maybe an Indian food store). It looks delicious and I love your bright colorful serving bowl.
