SESAME AND ALMOND SLICE

Breakfast slice is a great way to serve your kids on busy mornings. It barely take a few minutes to prepare. Not only that, you can customize to suit the taste of your family members, the ingredients include many things you probably have on hand.

SESAME AND ALMOND SLICE
Yield  :    24 small squares

1/2  C  self raising flour
1/2 C breakfast cereal
120 g melted butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C toasted black sesame
1/2 C toasted chopped almond
2-3 TB milk



DIRECTION

Preheat oven to 180 C. Well greased a 12 x 8 in pan.

Combine flour, sugar. sesame and almond in a mixing bowl.

Add in melted butter, stir to combine.

Press the mixture into  prepared pan.

Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

Cool on pan 5 minutes. Cut into small squares while still warm.

This looks great for a quick breakfast on the go. I like recipes that you can adjust to what you want...of course I always do that anyway with recipes :) But this one sounds forgiving.

This does look like a tasty way to snack or start the morning. I will need to check the date on my black sesame seeds, or I may use the regular ones (I know those are fresh). Glad you posted this one-yum!
