EASY & YUMMY SWEET SOUR PRAWN

Easy & Yummy Sweet Sour Prawn Recipe @ treatntrick.blogspot.com

Looks complicated but Easy & Yummy Sweet Sour Prawn  is an easy recipe.  I have sent my kid to purchase the prawn but due to shortage of seafood products, manage to get this smaller variety.  Presently our fish port is closed due to Covid-19.  If you could get the bigger prawn, would look better.

Fried prawn is coated with spicy, sweet and sour sauce from tomato, chili sauce and lemon juice. To add color, red, yellow and green bell pepper are added.  You can add sugar if you like but for me it is not required.

Easy & Yummy Sweet Sour Prawn  was always a favorite among my family and friends.  You could also use fish, squid or chicken for making this dish.

EASY & YUMMY SWEET SOUR PRAWN

Serves  :     3-4

300 g shelled prawn

3 cloves garlic minced

1 onion chopped

1 onion cut into rings

3 bird's eye chili chopped

4 bird's eye chili whole

2 tablespoon blended red chili

1 cup multi color bell pepper chopped

3 tablespoon oil

2 tablespoon chili sauce

2 tablespoon tomato sauce

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

1 tablespoon of lemon juice/vinegar

1 stalk lemon grass bruised (optional)

1 cup water

salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil, add in prawn, stir until it changes color, remove.  Add 2 tablespoon oil to the same pan, add in chopped onion, ginger, lemon grass and garlic, fry until onion is translucent.  Mix in blended chili, chopped chili  and little water, fry until oil separates. Add in the sauces, bell pepper, water and salt.  When bell pepper is cooked, add in prawn, onion rings and whole chili.  Check for salt, simmer for 5 minutes, mix in lemon juice. Remove from heat.
