These chewy and wholesome Homemade Granola Sesame Bars make a satisfying snack in a snap.

These are made with rolled oat, chopped almond and sesame seeds.  Maple Syrup s used as a binding agent or could be replaced with honey.

You could also use other chopped nuts like pecan, peanut or walnuts. Feel free to use other seeds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds.

If you are non vegan, add an egg or substitute with oil or melted margarine..

Baked them in a greased 8 in cake pan instead of sheet pan.

HOMEMADE GRANOLA SESAME BARS RECIPE

Yield  :     12 bars

2 cups rolled oats

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cups chopped nuts

1/4 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup oil or 1 egg 

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/4 cup maple syrup / honey more if needed

DIRECTIONS

Grease 7 x 11 in sheet pan or  line with parchment paper.  Roast lightly item 1 - 3. Heat peanut butter, maple syrup and oil  using lowest heat.  Transfer this into a mixing bowl. Add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.  Scoop mixture onto prepared pan, spread evenly.  Using spatula press hard so the mixture would stick together.  Bake for  30 minutes at 130 C until done.  While still warm, cut into bars. When completely cool, store in an airtight container.
